Davy and I had a date to meet late last year and I don’t think it has ever rained so much in Perth in one morning! Fast forward a few months and we finally got to meet and have some fun at the park – and I think it all worked out for the best, as it always seems to do! Davy is thirteen months old, just finding his feet and loves being outside. Thanks for spending a lovely morning with me Davy. x

Mary and Steve have been married for 25 years and it was my pleasure to photograph them with their family last weekend to commemorate this wonderful occasion. I think it is true to say that Mary and Steve have every thing that you could wish for in life – a best friend to share the journey with and 3 wonderful children, who are happily married and 7 happy, healthy, beautiful grandchildren {one who is due to arrive very soon}. Denise is 10 months old…….it won’t be long now and those little legs that are just managing to hold her on her feet will be running along the grass, and those birds that she loves to wave to will be flying away as she chases them. Denise’s mum wanted to capture this age before her baby was no longer a baby, but a toddler. And she is such a beautiful baby…..

I have been photographing Alex every year since he was born and it has been so amazing to see him grow into such a handsome little boy. Alex has the most wonderful family, they are adorable with him. I had so many favourites from this session that I decided to blog a couple of images, and the rest in a slideshow – enjoy!

Little Spiro is quite simply adorable. I met him, along with his parents for our photo session at UWA. This is where his father attended university, maybe I will be able to photograph Spiro again one day under these arches in his cap and gown. It seems that this will be so far away, but trust me, it won’t be long. My own boys have just started Grade One this year, and I am sure it was only yesterday that they were this little, gooing and gaaing at me with those chubby little cheeks.

I met Melissa & Mark for their engagement sessions last weekend at Freshwater Bay in Peppermint Grove – it is such a lovely location and I have had a few requests for sessions their over the next few weeks. Melissa & Mark are getting married in April and I am sure they are going to have a perfect day. Here are some images from their engagement session -

It was such a beautiful day yesterday, and I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah & Tony’s wedding day. Sarah & Tony were married at St Michael the Archangel Chapel in Leederville {this is my favourite church, because I married my husband there almost 7 years ago to the day, so I was a little teary when I heard the bells ringing as Sarah arrived with her Dad}. The ceremony was so lovely, Father Joseph was wonderful, and I hope that the words he spoke to Sarah and Tony will stay with them for their lifetime.
Sarah & Tony, as you are spending the afternoon with your family today, I hope you open some lovely presents, and I hope you enjoy this little preview of your wedding photos. I will post some images to the blog during the week. Have a wonderful, relaxing honeymoon and I look forward to seeing you both when you get back. Jodie x

I photographed Dean as a newborn and was so delighted when his Mum asked me to photograph his Christening – he is the-most -adorable boy! {and just between you and me, I think he has a crush on me, he couldn’t take his eyes off me, and no, I don’t think it was anything to do with the big black camera that I was holding in my hand} Dean, it was lovely to share this very special day with you and to meet all of your lovely family. Sarah & Tony are getting married in a few weeks and I can’t wait! They have chosen some of my favourite locations and I know that they will both look fabulous! I photographed their engagement session last weekend at Star Swamp in Watermans. Sarah & Tony used to live just down the road and walk around here often, it’s always so nice to photograph somewhere that is special to couples. The colours at Star Swamp are just beautiful!
