Well, it is finally here – that time of year where the birds are singing, the sun is shining, the trees are fresh and green! I adore Spring. The first hint of sunshine and I am out in the garden – and what is it with Spring that makes me clean and file and sort like crazy?
I also love love love to shoot in Spring. It is the perfect weather for photography – and the colours! So fresh and vibrant!

I really love photo sessions at the river with boys….there are just so many great backgrounds and so many things for little boys to do. Cooper & Riley had a great time at the river last weekend. I like to let children have lots of fun and freedom in their photo session so that I can capture them being who they are, and this really works well with my story-telling style of photography. I always get some gorgeous looking-into-the-camera images too…..but I think it is the images of kids being kids that really show their personalities, and as a parent, that is what I want to remember most when my children are all grown up.
And I have to say that Cooper & Riley’s parents were so great, they just stood back and let me do my thing, and didn’t ask them pose or look at the camera once They didn’t even mind when the boys decided to paddle in the water…..or when the paddling turned into running and splashing……or when Riley’s pants were so wet that they fell off

Elizabeth is now 2 years old and she has grown into such a beautiful little girl. It was lovely to spend some time with her family for our photo shoot last weekend – and the weather was just wonderful! I first photographed Coby as a newborn, so little, and now here we are 14 months later and Coby is running around and full of personality! It is incredible how time flies! And Liam is such a handsome big brother. It was lovely to spend some time with this family again on such a beautiful Winter afternoon. Yesterday I met Sophia and her parents for a photo session in the park. Sophia is 7 months old and absolutely adorable! I was very happy to have such a beautiful day for our shoot on Sunday after a week of rain, because the colours in winter are so beautiful to photograph and the light is so pretty too.
I had the pleasure of meeting Róisín & Xander recently. Xander was a wonderful helper, he bought along his own ‘camera’ {an old mobile phone} and squished up next to me on the ground to photograph his little sister. We compared images, and Xander decided that his were definitely the best Róisín is adorable….
